Sivas search continues for missing 11-month-old baby
Search operations continue for 11-month-old Büşra Balıkçı, who disappeared from a tent in the İncedere Plateau area of Divriği, Sivas, on September 10. Specialized teams from AFAD, the gendarmerie, and commandos are conducting the search, utilizing AI-supported drones and tracking dogs. Despite searching an area of approximately 3 square kilometers, no traces of the infant have been found.
Following the disappearance, authorities detained 12 suspects. The baby's parents, Elif and Yusuf Balıkçı, along with several relatives, have been arrested. The investigation follows allegations made by the mother, Elif Balıkçı, who claimed the father killed the child and left her in the field, an accusation the father denies. A publication ban has been issued regarding the case by the Divriği Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
