Siverek: Family targeted in armed attack during vehicle pursuit
A family traveling in Siverek, Şanlıurfa, was targeted in an armed attack while returning from a visit. The incident occurred near the Yücelen Rural Neighborhood around 11:00 PM when three vehicles began pursuing the family's car.
During the pursuit, the attackers opened fire on the vehicle, striking the car and its tires. The gunfire resulted in minor injuries to the driver, identified as M. A. S., and his disabled daughter. It is alleged that the attackers attempted to force the family out of the vehicle and seized the driver's identification card by force.
The assailants fled the scene after local villagers and passing motorists arrived to assist. Gendarmerie teams have since detained one suspect, and an investigation is ongoing to apprehend the remaining three suspects involved in the attack.
