Six Flags announces annual Halloween festivals in Mexico and Texas

Six Flags theme parks in Mexico and the United States have announced the return of their annual Halloween-themed festivals.

Six Flags México will host its Festival del Terror from September 11 to November 17. The event features scare zones, special shows, and nighttime operation of roller coasters. The park has designated specific areas, such as Bugs Bunny Boomtown and DC Super Friends, as fright-free zones for children. Certain attractions and scare zones are recommended for guests aged 13 and older and may utilize strobe lights, fog, and confined spaces.

Six Flags Over Texas will run Fright Fest from September 11 through November 1, with an additional event on October 12. The park is introducing several haunted attractions inspired by horror franchises, including The Conjuring Universe, SAW, and The Strangers. New scare zones such as Doc Varnum's Hybrid Hell Pit and a Dia de los Muertos zone will also debut. Guests can purchase a Haunted Attractions Pass to access specific horror-themed experiences.
