Six Flags Fiesta Texas breaks ground on Werewolf Gorge coaster
Six Flags Fiesta Texas has officially broken ground on Werewolf Gorge, a new Vekoma family launch coaster scheduled to debut during the park’s 35th anniversary season in 2027. The attraction represents the largest single-attraction investment in the history of the park.
Spanning 4,120 feet, Werewolf Gorge is designed to be the world’s longest family launch coaster. The ride will feature four launches, reaching speeds exceeding 40 mph, and will incorporate onboard audio and immersive storytelling inspired by Texas cryptid folklore. Park Manager Robert Bustle noted that the project is a significant investment in the future of Texas tourism.
In related theme park developments, Holiday World has begun installing the first track pieces for its upcoming 1,700-foot Mack Rides water roller coaster, Cannonball, which is also slated for a 2027 opening.
