Six Flags Great Adventure Opens Fall 2026 Hiring and Unveils 2027 Bakunawa Coaster

Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey announced it is hiring seasonal staff for its 2026 fall season. Positions across departments – scare actors, ride operators, food & beverage, retail, security, admissions, park services, games and more – are open to applicants 16 years or older. The park will host Kids Boo Fest (Sept 19–Nov 1), Oktoberfest (Sept 19–Nov 1) and Fright Fest presented by Snickers (Sept 18–Nov 1). Employees receive perks such as complimentary park admission, discounted food and merchandise, scholarship opportunities and professional development. “Fall is one of the most exciting times of year at Six Flags Great Adventure… every team member plays an important role,” said Ryan Eldredge, Director of Sales and Marketing.

The park also revealed its next major attraction, the Bakunawa coaster, slated to open in 2027. Marketed as the world’s fastest and tallest spinning coaster, it aims for six records: 100 mph top speed, 382 ft height, 80 mph fastest inversion, the first floor‑less spinning ride and an upside‑down launch. Named after a Philippine sea‑dragon, Bakunawa will join the new Shoreline Pier area. Park President Mike Fehnel said the investment continues the park’s long‑term vision to strengthen its position as a premier Northeast destination for thrills and family entertainment.
