More than 100 people have come forward alleging they suffered varying degrees of brain injury after riding the X2 roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. Following a CNN investigation that linked the attraction to life-altering injuries and at least two deaths, legal representatives announced the filing of several new lawsuits against the company.

Plaintiffs include Michael Wilk, an attorney who claims the ride left him with permanent cognitive disabilities, and Pamela Guillen, who underwent emergency brain surgery after a ride. Another rider, Naomi Greer-Wilkinson, remains hospitalized and struggling to breathe. Attorneys allege the coaster has had design flaws since its opening in 2002 and that park officials were aware of the potential dangers.

The X2 coaster, known for its 360-degree rotating seats and high speeds, has been temporarily closed.
