Six Flags Magic Mountain faces lawsuits over X2 roller coaster brain injuries

Six Flags Magic Mountain is facing multiple lawsuits following reports that over 100 visitors suffered severe brain injuries after riding the X2 roller coaster. Legal representatives from Dordick Law Corporation have filed at least three lawsuits, alleging that both the theme park and manufacturer S&S Worldwide failed to adequately warn riders of known risks.

Medical professionals have attributed the injuries to traumatic acceleration-deceleration events during the ride. Specific cases include Pamela Guillen, who required skull surgery after a July 2026 ride, and Naomi Greer-Wilkinson, who remains on a ventilator following a similar incident. Other claimants, such as attorney Michael Wilk, have also reported head injuries resulting from the ride's motion.

The X2 roller coaster has been closed since July 2026, and no reopening date has been announced. Six Flags has directed inquiries to its official safety website, noting its use of independent third-party inspections and international operator training systems.
