Six Hub Roast House ordered to close by Petaling Jaya authorities

Six Hub Roast House, a Hong Kong-style roast meat restaurant owned by Hong Kong actor Mat Yeung, was ordered to temporarily cease operations by the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) on August 24. The closure occurred just 10 days after the establishment opened in the SS2 neighborhood of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

The closure notice cited alleged breaches regarding licensing and the use of the premises. Specifically, authorities found that kitchen equipment and items were occupying public space in the back alley behind the restaurant. Mat Yeung noted that the shop had been short-handed during its initial days, leading to items being placed in the alley to manage daily operations.

The restaurant management issued an apology to customers and stated they would close for two days to carry out rectification works, including cleaning the premises and improving kitchen arrangements. The establishment planned to resume operations on August 26.
