Six injured in B12 highway collision near Marktoberdorf

Six people sustained minor injuries following a two-vehicle collision near Marktoberdorf on Friday. The accident occurred on the B12 highway when a 36-year-old driver, traveling from Ruderatshofenin toward Marktoberdorf, failed to notice an oncoming car while attempting to turn left onto the B12.

The collision resulted in significant damage to both vehicles, estimated at approximately 40,000 euros. All occupants involved were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The B12 is a major transit route in the Allgäu region, and discussions regarding its expansion into a four-lane highway have been ongoing due to its reputation for frequent accidents.
