Six injured in Pizarra A-357 traffic crash

A front‑on collision between two cars occurred on the A‑357 near kilometre 44 in the municipality of Pizarra, Andalusia, on Saturday evening. Six people were injured, including an eight‑year‑old child who was airlifted to the Hospital Materno Infantil de Málaga. The other five adults were taken by ambulance to the Regional University Hospital and the University Clinical Hospital in Málaga.

Emergency services – the Provincial Fire Consortium, the Guardia Civil traffic unit, local police and Andalusian health responders – worked for several hours to secure the scene, treat the victims and clear the wreckage. The accident caused road closures and traffic delays of up to seven kilometres in both directions. The Guardia Civil opened an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
