Six journalists flee Serbia due to security concerns
Six journalists and media professionals have left Serbia for exile over the past two years due to concerns regarding their personal safety.
Among those who have departed is writer and TV host Marko Vidojković, who has lived abroad for more than three years. The most recent individual to leave is military analyst Aleksandar Radić. While journalist associations characterize Radić as being in exile, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade has labeled him a fugitive.
Radić faces criminal charges for allegedly preparing an act against the constitutional order and security of the Republic of Serbia, as well as for disclosing secret data. Radić cited threats to his family's safety as the reason for his departure, noting that pro-regime media outlets broadcasted surveillance footage of him and his minor daughter.
