SIX the Musical opens at Theatre Royal Sydney

The international musical phenomenon SIX the Musical has commenced its run at Theatre Royal Sydney following successful performances in Melbourne. The production reimagines the lives of Henry VIII’s six wives—Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howard, and Catherine Parr—as a high-energy, 80-to-90-minute pop concert.

The Australian cast features several notable performers, including Sarah Murr as Catherine of Aragon, Mia Paris Scalise as Anne Boleyn, Cara Bessey as Jane Seymour, Kadesa Honeyhill as Anna of Cleves, Angela Brischetto as Katherine Howard, and Lorinda May Merrypor as Catherine Parr. Critics have highlighted the production's ability to deliver powerhouse vocals and emotional depth through an anthology-style structure.

Performances in Sydney are scheduled to run until 20 December, after which the production is slated to move to Brisbane’s QPAC Playhouse Theatre in January 2027.
