Sixmilebridge community groups address rapid population growth

Community organizations in Sixmilebridge are working to manage the town's rapid population growth and evolving needs. The Sixmilebridge Tidy Towns group is actively seeking a new generation of volunteers to maintain its operations. As several new housing developments are completed, the group aims to recruit younger residents to succeed long-serving members who are approaching their eighties.

Simultaneously, the Sixmilebridge Town Team is working to implement a masterplan established in June 2023. Funded by Clare County Council, the Sixmilebridge Town Centre First Plan was developed with community input to shape the town's development. The Town Team acts as a liaison for local groups, assisting with grant applications and projects that align with the masterplan's goals, while focusing on community voice and accessibility.
