South Africa beats New Zealand 33-26 to level rugby series

South Africa leveled their four-Test series against New Zealand with a 33-26 victory over the All Blacks at Cape Town Stadium. This win follows a 33-16 defeat in the first Test in Johannesburg, bringing the series score to 1-1.

The Springboks established an early lead through tries from Jesse Kriel and Damian de Allende, alongside a try from returning captain Siya Kolisi. Cheslin Kolbe was instrumental, contributing 18 points through a combination of conversions and penalties.

Despite the Springboks' dominance in the first half, the All Blacks mounted a significant late comeback. Tries from Cam Roigard, Damian McKenzie, and Ardie Savea brought the visitors within a single score in the final minutes. However, a crucial turnover by substitute Cameron Hanekom in the closing stages secured the win for South Africa. The series moves to Soweto for the third Test.
