Siyabonga Tyhawana re-elected as Safa Eden Region president

Siyabonga Tyhawana has been re-elected as the president of the South African Football Association (Safa) Eden Region for a second five-year term. The election took place during the Safa Eden Regional Congress held at the Premier Hotel in Knysna, involving representatives from seven local football associations.

Tyhawana’s new executive committee includes deputy presidents Gabriel Majolla, Sonwabile Sibotoboto, and Pretty Cheba, with Keanan du Plessis serving as general secretary. The regional leadership aims to focus on strengthening football structures and professionalizing communities across the Eden region.

At the national level, Danny Jordaan has been reinstated as the president of the South African football federation for a fourth term. Following these leadership developments, Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane is beginning his first camp ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, which includes matches against Guinea and Eritrea.
