SJK (C) Chung Hua Sambir celebrates 100 years of education

SJK (C) Chung Hua Sambir in Asajaya celebrated its 100th anniversary with a centenary dinner attended by nearly 600 people. Established in 1926, the school has served the Sambir and Asajaya districts for a century, providing primary education to residents from various ethnic backgrounds, including Chinese, Malay, and Bumiputera.

During the event, Sarawak Minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah highlighted the school's role in community development and its ability to foster unity, noting that students of different races performed together. He also announced a contribution of RM120,000, representing 10 percent of the RM1.2 million required for the construction of a school ring/facility.
