SK Biopharm earns MSCI ESG 'AAA' rating for third consecutive year
SK Biopharm has achieved the highest 'AAA' rating in the MSCI ESG evaluation for the third consecutive year, making it the first South Korean pharmaceutical company to reach this milestone. The company remains the only domestic pharmaceutical firm currently maintaining this top-tier rating.
MSCI's assessment, which recently implemented stricter criteria for transparency and data verification, recognized SK Biopharm at a global top level in several key areas, including corporate behavior, human capital development, and product safety and quality. Specific strengths noted include the company's compliance systems, ethical management, and its commitment to the 'Rx-360' global initiative for supply chain safety.
In terms of commercial and social impact, the company reported that cumulative global prescriptions for its epilepsy drug, Cenobamate, have surpassed 300,000. SK Biopharm also noted that it generated 498.7 billion won in social value in 2025, with 452.4 billion won of that attributed to improving quality of life through its products and services.
