SK Biopharm hosts epilepsy patient art exhibition at Social Value Festa

SK Biopharm is participating in the 3rd Korea Social Value Festa held at COEX in Seoul from September 21 to 22. For its third consecutive year at the event, the company is hosting an exhibition titled ‘Twinkle, Twinkle, My Head – The Neuron Universe We Drew Together’ to focus on the lives and voices of epilepsy patients and their families.

The exhibition is based on ‘Epic Day’, a social contribution program conducted by SK Biopharm’s internal volunteer group, ‘Haengbok-ieum’, in collaboration with the Korea Epilepsy Association. Between April and July, pediatric epilepsy patients expressed their emotions through art, while caregivers shared treatment experiences and caregiving information with medical professionals.

The display features three sections: ‘My World’, ‘A Day Together, Epic Day’, and ‘Our Neuron Universe’. In the final section, 18 artworks created by children are integrated into a large-scale collaborative piece using fiber optic lighting and beam projectors in a darkroom setting. Artist None Z, known for depicting neural structures through cosmic imagery, is also participating. SK Biopharm aims to expand these communication programs to include more stakeholders, including medical staff and patient associations, to improve the quality of life for those affected by epilepsy.
