SK Broadband launches local hero documentary series
SK Broadband has launched the second season of its new broadcast program, ‘The Great Uncle: Birth of a Local Hero’. Co-produced with Very Media and Yonhap News TV JOB, the series premiered on the 24th.
The program focuses on the stories of young CEOs who have chosen to settle in rural, fishing, or mountain villages instead of urban centers. By highlighting these individuals, the series aims to address the issues of regional extinction and youth unemployment by showcasing how these entrepreneurs create new value within their local communities.
Season two features six different teams, including an ostrich farmer in Goseong, a couple revitalizing traditional houses in Mungyeong, and a pet food exporter in Sangju. Other featured entrepreneurs include a beekeeper in Jeju, an elk farmer in Gumi, and a producer repurposing discarded vegetables in Gujwa. The program is scheduled to air on weekdays at 5:30 PM on Btv Cable Channel 1, Living TV, and Yonhap News TV JOB through October 2.
