SK Dynamo České Budějovice risks B‑team exit as South Bohemian region offers to buy club shares
SK Dynamo České Budějovice is considering withdrawing its reserve team from Division A because the club does not have enough players to field two senior squads. The shortage follows the departure of several first‑team players, and the league could impose a fine of up to 500,000 CZK if the B‑team is withdrawn.
The South Bohemian Region has submitted an official offer to purchase 144 shares of the club for 32.55 million CZK, based on an independent valuation of the club and its youth academy. Regional governor Martin Kuba said the price is lower than the amount the owner, Nneka Ede, asked in June but is appropriate for public funds: "Je nám jasné, že částka, kterou Jihočeský kraj za akcie nabízí, je o něco nižší než cena, za kterou je paní Nneka Ede nabízela k prodeji letos v červnu." The region aims to stabilise the club’s finances and support its development programmes.
