SK Innovation hosts healing camp for elderly care workers
SK Innovation held a two-day healing camp titled ‘Caring for the Caregivers’ at the Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul to support social workers and life support workers who care for elderly people living alone.
The initiative marks the 10th anniversary of the company’s ‘Happiness Sharing Love Connection’ volunteer program. The camp aimed to address emotional exhaustion and burnout among caregivers, a growing concern as South Korea rapidly enters a super-aged society.
Since 2017, SK Innovation’s programs have involved approximately 36,000 participants, providing economic, emotional, and social support to 33,000 elderly individuals living alone.
