Hobby manufacturers announce new Gundam, Uma Musume, and horse collectibles

Several new high-end hobby collectibles and character merchandise have been announced for release in Japan.

BANDAI SPIRITS has unveiled the ‘METAL STRUCTURE Kaitai Shouki RX-178 Gundam Mk-II (E.U.G. Type)’. This premium model stands approximately 310mm tall and consists of 2,500 parts. It features advanced gimmicks such as armor expansion, a spherical cockpit exposure mechanism, and an original ‘High Mobility Combat Mode’. The set is priced at 137,500 yen and is scheduled for release in January 2027.

In the realm of character figures, Kotobukiya is releasing a 1/7 scale figure of Narita Taishin from ‘Uma Musume Pretty Derby’. The figure, which stands about 236mm tall, is expected to launch in March 2027 and is currently available for pre-order through retailers like AmiAmi.

Additionally, SK Japan announced the ‘Thoroughbred Collection Plush Ball Chain’ featuring the racehorse Haru Urara. The plush, which includes detailed accessories like patterned headgear and racing tags, is set for a late November 2026 release.
