SK Rapid Wien takes Bundesliga lead with 3-0 win over WSG Tirol

SK Rapid Wien has moved to the top of the Austrian Bundesliga table following a 3-0 victory against WSG Tirol. The win marks the team's sixth victory in seven matches, representing their best season start in 28 years.

Goals were scored by Ercan Kara in the 33rd minute, Bendeguz Bolla in the 67th minute, and Nikolaus Wurmbrand in the 86th minute. Rapid Wien currently holds 18 points, placing them three points ahead of LASK.

Coach Johannes Hoff Thorup noted that while the victory provides significant momentum heading into the three-week international break, the team must remain cautious to avoid the pitfalls of previous seasons. Despite a dominant performance, Thorup mentioned the team lacked sharpness in the first half.
