SK Rent-a-Car adopts Google Workspace and generative AI
SK Rent-a-Car has transitioned its work environment from a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) to a cloud-based system integrated with generative AI. The company implemented Google Workspace across its entire organization to enhance productivity and better utilize its accumulated data.
The transition, which took approximately five months, involved migrating 18TB of data and 5.62 million items, including emails and documents, across roughly 1,500 accounts for employees and partners. By integrating Google’s Gemini AI model, staff can now use artificial intelligence for routine tasks such as drafting reports, summarizing data, and conducting research. Additionally, video conferencing features now include real-time captioning and automated meeting summaries.
Beyond software, the company updated its infrastructure to a local-based system to improve connection speeds and performance while maintaining security through cloud-based policies. SK Rent-a-Car aims to use these tools to reduce repetitive tasks, allowing employees to focus on high-value activities like data analysis, decision-making, and customer service.
