SK Telecom launches resource circulation campaign for IT devices

SK Telecom has launched the ‘Refine Day’ campaign to promote resource circulation by collecting unused IT devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops, from employees and their families.

In collaboration with the social enterprise Re-Man, the company ensures professional data deletion and evaluates the condition of the collected hardware. The devices will be reused, remanufactured, or recycled into parts and raw materials. SK Telecom plans to provide remanufactured digital devices to underprivileged children through the Korea Association of Local Children's Centers to improve digital education and information accessibility.

The campaign also includes environmental education programs for children at the company's daycare center, utilizing activities like upcycling flowerpot making to teach the value of a circular economy.
