SKAI secures rights for Fame Story reality show

The Greek television network SKAI has secured the broadcasting rights for the music talent show Fame Story (also known as Star Academy). The acquisition is part of a broader cooperation between the SKAI group and the production company responsible for Big Brother.

While the rights have been obtained, the show is not expected to air in the immediate future. Current programming schedules at SKAI, including daily series and upcoming political programming, do not leave space for a new production this season. Reports suggest the show could potentially return as early as 2027.

Fame Story originally aired on ANT1 starting in 2002 and has been a platform for several well-known artists. The show's history includes a brief revival in 2023 on Star and Omega Cyprus.
