Ski jumper suffers serious crash in Planica

A ski jumper was seriously injured following a crash at the Nordic Center Planica in Slovenia on Friday morning. Emergency services received a distress call at 9:57 AM, prompting a rescue helicopter to transport the athlete to a hospital.

The identity of the athlete and the specific extent of their injuries have not yet been released by authorities. The Rateče-Planica fire department secured a landing site for the rescue helicopter during the operation.
