Skikda Port exports 19,000 tonnes of cement and clinker to Italy and Libya

The Skikda Port Enterprise (EPS) recently completed the export of approximately 18,950 tonnes of cement and clinker to Italy and Libya. The operation involved three simultaneous loadings across different docks to accelerate the process.

Specifically, the vessel ‘Mostein’ loaded 4,600 tonnes of bagged cement for Italy, while the ‘MV Yeba’ began loading 6,750 tonnes of clinker destined for Italy. Additionally, the ‘Princess Anna’ loaded 7,600 tonnes of bulk cement for Libya. These activities are part of a broader strategy to boost national non-hydrocarbon exports and strengthen port logistics.

In a separate logistical feat, the port also managed the unloading of heavy industrial equipment from South Korea, including a 132-tonne turbine measuring 43 meters, demonstrating the facility's capacity to handle complex and oversized cargo.
