Skilla Baby Announces August Release of Album 'The Price of Fame

Detroit rapper Skilla Baby is set to release his new album, The Price of Fame, on August 21, 2026. The record is described as an album for the working man, addressing themes of hustle, mental health and personal struggle. In an interview for XXL Magazine, Baby explained that the project reflects his own journey, including overcoming depression by focusing on simple, everyday joys.

The album features tracks such as “Product of My Environment,” “He Never Left,” “No Tears,” and “Get You Some Money,” which sample Jesse Powell. Earlier, on July 31, 2026, he issued the single “Show Me Love,” showcasing melodic production and an extended outro. Baby grew up in Detroit, working jobs from age 14—selling candy, washing cars, and mowing lawns—experiences he says shape the album’s relatable perspective.
