Skillet announces new EP ‘After the Storm’ for October 9

Rock band Skillet has announced the release of a new independent EP titled ‘After the Storm’, scheduled for arrival on October 9. The six-song project is produced by David Cowell and Korey Cooper.

In conjunction with the announcement, the band released a new single, ‘Lift Me Up’, accompanied by an anime-inspired lyric video. The EP follows the momentum of the single ‘Scream’, which has already surpassed five million global streams. Frontman John Cooper described the project as a personal creative statement inspired by themes of betrayal, grief, and perseverance, noting that the music aims to help listeners through dark times.

The announcement follows a period of significant commercial success for the band, including over 12 million monthly Spotify listeners and the anthem ‘Monster’ entering Spotify’s Billions Club with over 5 billion streams.
