Skills Bridge Ghana launches solar technology training for professionals

The Skills Bridge Ghana Foundation LBG (SBGF) has launched a solar energy technology training programme for 50 industry professionals to address the country’s growing green skills deficit. The initiative is being held at the Applied Technology Institute in East Legon.

Charles Agyemang Prempeh, Founder and Executive Director of SBGF, noted that while Ghana’s local power demand is expanding by approximately 10 per cent annually, there is a significant shortage of certified local technicians in solar energy engineering, system maintenance, and advanced photovoltaic integration. Prempeh emphasized the importance of investing in local human capital to ensure the sustainability of physical green infrastructure.
