Skincare technology trends: EMS massagers and LED masks

The beauty technology market is seeing an increase in at-home skincare devices, ranging from affordable massagers to advanced LED masks. Media Expert is offering a Marielle lifting massager for the face and neck at a discounted price of 39.99 PLN. The device features EMS electrostimulation, heat therapy, and red and white light therapy, offering three intensity levels.

In a broader look at light therapy, testing by the German service CHIP on popular LED masks, such as the Shark Cryo Glow and Therabody Theraface Glo, showed modest results. While users noted faster healing of imperfections and fading pigmentation, no significant overall skin improvement or total acne clearance was observed. Dermatologist Dr. Afshin Fatemi suggests that while these over-the-counter devices can complement daily routines, they should be viewed as gadgets rather than replacements for professional dermatological treatments.
