Skincare trends focus on urea hydration and K-beauty product expansions

Skincare trends for the colder months emphasize the use of urea to manage skin hydration and texture. Urea is a naturally occurring component of the skin's hydration factor. At lower concentrations, it helps the skin retain water to prevent tightness and dryness. At higher concentrations, specifically above 10%, it provides a keratolytic effect, helping to soften and remove dead skin cells, which is beneficial for rough areas like elbows, knees, and heels.

In the K-beauty sector, the Dr. Althea 345 Relief line is expanding. Following the success of the 345 Relief Cream, a new 345 Relief Serum has been introduced. The serum is designed with a lightweight texture suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Its formula utilizes a 3-4-5 ingredient structure: three ingredients to target irregularities and acne (such as Japanese white birch sap and tea tree water), four for hydration (including hyaluronic acid and niacinamide), and five for soothing the skin.
