Skincare trends shift toward lightweight milky textures

Skincare trends are shifting toward milky, lightweight textures designed to provide deep hydration without the heavy or greasy feel of traditional creams. This trend is appearing in both facial toners and body care products.

In facial skincare, milky toners—often popularized by K-beauty innovation—act as a middle ground between watery toners and lightweight moisturizers. These emulsified formulas are intended to cushion the skin and support the skin barrier, making them suitable for dehydrated or tight skin.

Similarly, the body care market is seeing a rise in milky lotions. Bio-Oil has introduced a moisturizing body lotion that utilizes a milky consistency to offer the nourishment of oils, such as shea, rosehip, and jojoba, combined with hyaluronic acid and vitamins. The product aims to provide long-lasting hydration while remaining lighter than conventional moisturizers.
