Skinwalker Ranch drilling uncovers anomalous underground material

Owner Brandon Fugal led a drilling operation into the mesa at Skinwalker Ranch in northeast Utah, a site long associated with UFO sightings. The team detected underground voids and extracted a debris field containing manufactured items such as heat‑resistant ceramic fragments and unusual metal pieces that do not match the region’s natural soil composition. They also reported an invisible energy anomaly surrounding the site. No spacecraft was found and the material has not yet been examined in a peer‑reviewed study.

Fugal, a real‑estate developer, purchased the 512‑acre ranch from aerospace entrepreneur Robert Bigelow in 2016 and converted it into a closely monitored outdoor laboratory. Drilling began in 2021 after ground‑penetrating radar indicated possible subterranean formations.
