SkiStar and SJ launch new travel and service initiatives in Sälen

SkiStar and SJ have announced a new pilot project to facilitate train travel to the Sälen ski region starting in January 2027. The initiative combines train journeys from Stockholm to Mora with connecting chartered buses that transport passengers directly to areas including Lindvallen, Tandådalen, Hundfjället, and the Högfjällshotellet.

In addition to improved transport, SkiStar is introducing an ‘All Inclusive’ concept at the SkiStar Lodge Lindvallen this winter. The package includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, ice cream, and non-alcoholic beverages. According to SkiStar CEO Stefan Sjöstrand, the goal is to reduce the logistical planning required for mountain holidays, allowing families to focus more on experiences and less on meal arrangements.
