Skënder Hita meets with police leaders in Elbasan, Berat, and Kukës

Skënder Hita, the Director General of the State Police, held a series of meetings with local police structures in Elbasan, Berat, and Kukës to discuss increasing security parameters across these regions.

The meetings focused on several key areas: preventing criminal activities, tracking conflicts and citizen reports, and identifying or arresting individuals carrying firearms or involved in narcotics trafficking. Hita also emphasized the importance of locating fugitives, preventing environmental crimes, and improving professional communication with the public.

A major priority highlighted was school security. Hita described it as a “priority above priorities,” instructing police services to work closely with school security officers to ensure a safe learning environment. Specialized units, including narcotics and operational sectors, will focus on school perimeters to prevent drug sales and conflicts. Additionally, the Director called for intensified road safety monitoring through intelligent tools to prevent accidents.
