Skåne expands map of quiet tourist destinations

Visit Skåne has expanded its map of quiet destinations in the Skåne region to include 28 locations. The initiative, which has been in development for two years, aims to attract tourists from Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands, while also distributing visitor pressure more evenly across the region to benefit local businesses.

To qualify for the list, locations are assessed based on the overall experience of stillness, with a specific focus on minimizing human-made noise rather than adhering to a strict decibel limit. New additions to the map include Dörröds fälad in the Romeleåsen nature reserve. Currently, 23 of Skåne's 33 municipalities are part of the partnership supporting this project.
