Skoda and Peugeot advance electric SUV range capabilities

Automakers are advancing electric vehicle range capabilities, highlighted by recent developments from Skoda and Peugeot.

Skoda has announced a range record for its new Peaq, a seven-seat electric SUV. During a real-world test driving from its headquarters in Mladá Boleslav to the Netherlands, the vehicle covered 936 kilometers on a single charge. This performance exceeded its theoretical WLTP rating of 647 kilometers by approximately 289 kilometers, aided by an average consumption of 9.2 kWh/100 km. The Peaq utilizes a 91 kWh NMC battery.

Peugeot is also expanding its electric SUV offerings with the e-3008. The model features a fastback design and is available with two battery options. The 73 kWh version provides up to 526 km of WLTP range, while the Long Range version, equipped with a 96.9 kWh battery, offers up to 701 km of WLTP range. The vehicle supports up to 160 kW fast charging, capable of increasing the charge from 20% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
