Skoda Peaq electric SUV sets 936 km range record

Skoda has set a new range record for seven-seat electric SUVs with its flagship Peaq model. During a verified test overseen by TÜV SÜD, a production-specification Skoda Peaq 90 traveled 936 kilometers (581 miles) on a single charge.

The journey began in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic, and concluded in Zandvoort, Netherlands, passing through Germany. This distance exceeds the vehicle's official WLTP-rated range of 647 kilometers by approximately 45%. To achieve this, drivers Marek Jež and Jakub Krs utilized a defensive driving style and optimized routes to maintain an average consumption of just 9.2 kWh per 100 km.

The test vehicle featured a 91 kWh battery (86 kWh net), a 210 kW motor, rear-wheel drive, and 19-inch wheels with low-rolling-resistance tires. While the record was achieved under optimized conditions, Skoda noted that the Peaq is designed to offer a balance of efficiency, driving dynamics, and comfort for everyday users.
