Skopelos named top Greek holiday spot for Swedish travelers in 2026

Swedish Bucket List Magazine has highlighted the island of Skopelos as one of the most attractive Greek destinations for 2026, describing it as “the island that Mamma Mia could not keep secret”. The magazine praises Skopelos for its green pine forests meeting the sea, rocky‑framed beaches, clear waters ideal for kayaking and diving, and authentic, mass‑tourism‑free character.

The recognition results from targeted promotion by the EOT Scandinavia office together with the Municipality of Skopelos. Municipal tourism adviser George Papadafid said the international coverage confirms that modern travelers increasingly seek unique, naturally beautiful spots, and that continuous promotion in key overseas markets is essential for the island’s future.
