Skopelos port land zone to undergo €188,000 infrastructure upgrade
The Region of Thessaly has signed a contract worth €187,993.23 to begin immediate infrastructure interventions in the land zone of the Skopelos port. The project aims to reorganize and functionally modernize the port's land-based facilities to improve safety and operational efficiency.
The works are expected to be completed within a six-month timeframe. These technical interventions are designed to address long-standing management issues and enhance the service conditions for permanent residents, local professionals, and tourists.
Regional Governor Dimitris Kouretas stated that the project is a practical step toward solving critical infrastructure issues that impact the daily lives and tourism identity of the island, which serves as a primary gateway to the Northern Sporades.
