Skopje and Dubai to launch direct flights in March 2027

Direct flights between Skopje and Dubai are scheduled to begin in March 2027. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski announced that an agreement has been reached with the airline Flydubai to operate this route.

Nikoloski stated that the new connection is expected to boost tourism and business cooperation between North Macedonia and the United Arab Emirates, particularly as the flights will operate outside the primary summer tourist season.

Additionally, discussions are ongoing regarding the establishment of a direct flight route between Ohrid and an airport in the United Arab Emirates. Potential destinations for this secondary route include Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, though a final agreement has not yet been reached.
