Skopje begins paving Boris Trajkovski Boulevard

Asphalt paving has commenced on Boris Trajkovski Boulevard in Skopje, marking the end of a thirty-year wait for the project. Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski announced that the first layer of asphalt is being laid on the high-traffic thoroughfare, which serves over 100,000 citizens daily.

The project follows the resolution of long-standing expropriation issues. In addition to the road surface, a new storm sewer system has been constructed in parallel to ensure proper water drainage and long-term infrastructure stability.

Upon completion of the current side of the boulevard, traffic will be redirected to allow for the reconstruction of the other side, which will also receive entirely new asphalt.
