Skopje begins construction of 71,000 square meter park in Novo Lisice

Construction has begun on a new 71,000 square meter park in the Novo Lisice neighborhood of Skopje. The project aims to transform a previously neglected area, which had functioned as an illegal landfill near the Football Federation of Macedonia and the terminus of bus line 5, into a large green space for recreation.

Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski and Aerodrom Municipality Mayor Dejan Miteski officially marked the start of the works. The development plan includes planting approximately 1,000 trees, consisting of over 800 deciduous trees and various evergreen species. The park will feature accessible pedestrian paths, children's playgrounds, and dedicated areas for relaxation and social gathering.

According to municipal officials, this project contributes to a broader effort to create approximately 200,000 square meters of new park greenery across Skopje through various ongoing and completed initiatives.
