Skopje court restarts Oncology 2 trial for former clinic directors

The trial for the Oncology 2 case has restarted at the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje due to changes in the composition of the Judicial Council. The proceedings involve former medical director Nino Vasev and former economic director Nehad Nuhi, who face charges of conscientious misconduct and financial crime related to the Clinic for Radiotherapy and Oncology in Skopje.

Both defendants pleaded not guilty during the hearing. Nino Vasev stated he does not feel guilty for the alleged acts, while Nehad Nuhi expressed confusion regarding the indictment, claiming it has no connection to his work at the clinic. The defense for Vasev argued that the accusations are based on assumptions and artificial constructions rather than real evidence, calling for an acquittal due to a lack of proof.
