Skopje launches second aerial mosquito‑disinfection phase to curb disease risk

The municipal authorities of Skopje carried out the second aerial phase of mosquito disinfection, targeting adult mosquitoes across the city. The operation was conducted in the early morning hours, "according to the scheduled programme, the legal obligations arising from the Law on Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases and the Laboratory prepared by the Public Health Center," officials said.

The city announced that a third aerial phase will be implemented the following day, and two additional phases involving both aerial and ground spraying are scheduled. These measures are part of an ongoing program aimed at reducing mosquito populations and protecting public health during the summer season.
