Skopje Prosecutor Investigates Four Suspects in Two Fatal Robberies

The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Skopje has launched an investigation against four individuals suspected of participating in two violent robberies that resulted in two deaths. The suspects face charges of aggravated robbery, which carries a potential sentence of at least 10 years or life imprisonment.

The first incident occurred on the morning of October 22 in the Chrom neighborhood of Skopje. The suspects allegedly entered a home, bound the owner, beat him, and suffocated him with a pillow. They stole cash and gold jewelry valued at approximately 300,000 denars. The stolen gold was reportedly sold in the Old Skopje Bazaar for 2,840 euros later that afternoon.

The second attack took place between October 26 and 27 in the Gjorce Petrov neighborhood. The suspects allegedly attacked a female homeowner with physical force, beating her before binding her limbs and mouth and placing her in a bathroom. The woman died from her injuries. The suspects reportedly stole cash, jewelry, and valuables worth approximately 200,000 denars, which were also sold in a similar manner to the first robbery.

A prosecutor has proposed detention measures for all four suspects to prevent the destruction of evidence and flight from justice.
