Skopje to host 2027 IDO World HipHop & Breaking Championships

Skopje will host the IDO World HipHop & Breaking Championships from October 4 to 14, 2027. The event, organized by the International Dance Organization (IDO), is expected to draw over 7,000 dancers representing more than 40 countries.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the T Arena within the Boris Trajkovski Sports Center. The championship will host thousands of participants, including dancers, coaches, judges, and official delegations from multiple continents over an eleven-day period.

Organizers noted that selecting Skopje reflects the country's growing capacity and experience in hosting major international dance competitions. Previous events in the region include the 2024 IDO hip-hop competition and the 2026 IDO European Ballet, Jazz, Modern & Contemporary Championships. The 2027 event is also expected to provide a boost to the local economy due to the high volume of international visitors.
