Skopje Zoo undergoes modernization and habitat renovation

The Skopje Zoo is undergoing a modernization process to improve conditions for animals and visitors. Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski announced that recent works include the renovation of existing habitats and the construction of new ones.

Specific upgrades include replacing roofs, installing new enclosures for lions, and adding additional protective fencing. The project also features the construction of a motor park for children and the renovation of the plaza in front of the zoo. The city aims to transform the zoo into a leading center for education and nature protection as it celebrates its centenary this month.
